Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is one of the most iconic landmarks in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an ancient fortification that stretches across the northern part of China, originally built to protect the Chinese empire from invasions.

The Great Wall was constructed over centuries, with the earliest sections dating back more than 2,000 years. The wall extends for thousands of kilometers, with some estimates suggesting a total length of around 21,196 kilometers (13,171 miles). It is composed of various sections and passes, each with its own unique features and historical significance.
